Collection of general information when you visit our website
When you visit our website, that is, if you do not register or otherwise provide information, information of a general nature is collected by means of a cookie. This information (server log files) includes, for instance, the type of web browser you are using, your operating system, the domain name of your internet service provider and the like.
These data are most notably processed for the following purposes:

The provision of the above-mentioned personal data is not required by law or contract. Without the IP address, however, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. In addition, individual services and services may not be available or may be restricted. For this reason an objection is excluded.
Newsletter
On the basis of your explicit consent, we regularly send you our Newsletter (MDCT) and/or comparable information by e‑mail to your specified e‑mail address.
If you wish to receive our Newsletter, stating your e‑mail address is sufficient. When you subscribe to our Newsletter, the data you provide to us are exclusively used for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e‑mail about circumstances that are relevant to the service or subscription (e.g. changes to the Newsletter offering or technical situations). We require a valid e‑mail address for a valid subscription. To check whether a subscription really has been made by the owner of a given e‑mail address, we use a double opt-in process. To this end, we log the subscription to the Newsletter, the dispatch of a confirmation e‑mail, and the receipt of the requested response. These data are not shared with third parties. You may at any time withdraw your consent to the storage of your personal data and their use for sending you the Newsletter. You will find a corresponding link in every Newsletter. You may also at any time unsubscribe directly on this website or notify us accordingly by contacting us as shown below at the end of this Privacy Policy. The legal basis for sending the Newsletter and the associated performance measurement is on the basis of the recipient’s consent pursuant to Art. 6, 1 (a), Art. 7 GDPR in conjunction with Art. 107, 2 TKG (Telecommunications Act) or, where no consent is required, on the basis of our legitimate interest in direct marketing pursuant to Art. 6, 1 (f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 107, 2 and 3 TKG.
The dispatch of the Newsletter is by means of the email marketing service Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC ‚675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA). This service provider’s privacy policy is available here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. The service provider is used on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6, 1 (f) GDPR and an order processing contract pursuant to Art. 28, 3, (1) GPDR.
E‑Mail contact
If you contact us (e.g. using the contact form or by e‑mail) we will process your details in order to handle your enquiry and for the event that there are follow-up questions. Where data is processed in order to handle precontractual measures resulting out of your enquiry and/or to handle a contract if you are already a customer, the legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6, 1 (b) GDPR.
We only process other personal data if you give your consent to such processing (Art. 6, 1 (a) GDPR) or where we have a legitimate interest in processing your data (Art. 6, 1 (f) GDPR). Replying to your e‑mail, for example, constitutes a legitimate interest.
Legal basis:
On the basis of your expressly granted consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO), we will send you our newsletter or comparable information regularly by e‑mail to the e‑mail address you have provided.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for sending the newsletter at any time with effect for the future. You will find a corresponding link in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe at any time directly on this website or inform us of your revocation via the contact option given at the end of this data protection information.

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, based solely on your consent. Without existing consent we unfortunately cannot send you our newsletter.
Analysis by wiredminds
Our website uses the web beacon technology of wiredminds GmbH www.wiredminds.de to analyse visitor behaviour.
This may involve collecting, processing and storing data which can be used to create a pseudonymised usage profile. Where possible and meaningful, this usage profile is completely anonymised. Cookies may be used for this process. Cookies are small text files that are placed on a visitor’s web browser, allowing that web browser to be recognised. The collected data, which may include personal data, are transferred to wiredminds or are directly collected by wiredminds. wiredminds is permitted to use information that is generated by a visit to the website to create anonymised usage profiles. The data acquired in this manner will not be used without the explicit consent of the given individual in order to personally identify the website visitor, nor are they associated with any of the pseudonymous user’s personal data. Where IP addresses are collected they are immediately anonymised through the erasure of the last block of numbers.
Use of Google Analytics
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website by the user is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law www.privacyshield.gov.
Google will use this information on our behalf in order to evaluate the use of our website by the users, to compile reports on the activities within this website and to provide us with further services related to the use of this website and the internet. The processed data can be used to create pseudonymous user profiles of the users.
We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymisation. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online offer to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Further information on the use of data by Google, setting and objection options, you can find in the privacy policy of Google () and in the settings for the display of advertising by Google https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated. The personal data of users will be deleted or anonymised after 14 months.
SSL encryption
In order to ensure the security of your data when it is being transferred, we use state-of-the-art encryption processes (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.
Changes to our privacy provisions
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy so that it always meets the latest legal requirements or to make changes to our services in the Privacy Policy, such as the introduction of new services. When you next visit our website the new Privacy Policy will apply.
